I'm affected by this bug.
On latest BIOS update 2.17 problem persists.
Disable USB3.0 on Bios solves the problem.
Tried on kernels 3.16.0-29 and 3.18.2.
Running on Ubuntu 14.10, but I don't mind to install any other distro or
version, either RHEL 7.0 or Ubuntu 12.04.02.

In general, apt-get purge the linux-image-generic linux-image linux-
headers linux-headers-generic linux-generic packages.
Then you can delete some image files from /boot/ by hand; once one or
two are deleted, use apt-get purge to delete the corresponding packages
(linux-image-*-generic, linux-h
I have installed the mainline that you requested, the touchscreen and the
touchpad are now working but now I the wireless drivers are not working.
