So I tested with 4.1rc and it also doesn't work with intel rapid start.
I set the rapid start timer to immediate in BIOS and as soon as I close
the lid and open it back up, I was unable to resume to where I was.

I tried with option radeon.dpm=0 and yes the message disappears at
resume from sleep.
But on my machine I never noticed graphics slowdown (at least with
vlank_mode=0 glxgears). I'm not a consumer of fancy graphics or games.
However what I noticed without that option was buggy scrolling in
Firefox
Stannis King, version or commit bisecting the Ubuntu kernel is typically
most difficult. You would want to switch to bisecting the upstream
kernel.

fastboot in windows power options fixed that.

After more researching and testing, I've determined that the bug is
caused by the Intel Rapid Start technology in BIOS. It had a timer of 3
hours after laptop sleeps. I disabled that in BIOS and resume from
suspend started working just fine. I don't know if this is a Ubuntu bug
or a BIOS bug.

I found this page because I am seeing the same problem in kubuntu 15.04 Vivid
on a Lenovo Thinkpad T60 laptop.
The KDE5 plasma-nm (network manager) widget displays "connected" but all
network connections are terminated.
When selecting "disconnect" in an attempt to reconnect, all wireless networks
PS: I used to have intermittent network drops in ubuntu 14.04 which is
why I upgraded from LTS to 15.04 in the first place.
I used to workaround the problem by restarting the network-manager via

Laaag's method works for me using a MSI GS60 running Ubuntu 14.10. I
have a working ath10k for Wifi, however Bluetooth does not work still.
I ran the commands exactly as provided which resulted in a 4.1 kernel:

No, no other changes are needed on the system. If you have the kernel
command line modified in any way, especially acpi_osi options that might
factor in. What kernel are you running? What OS version? Can you share
your dmesg?
The current 3.19 kernel in 15.04 and BIOS A03 has everything
