A better reproducer is running stress-ng --procfs 0 on a multi-core
machine. Without the fix, it oopses in less than a second. With the
fix, it works perfectly, no oopsing.
Tested on 4.2.0-24-generic #29-Ubuntu, ran soak test for 600 seconds on
an 8 proc Xeon box:

I can reproduce the problem with a Garmin Nüvi and latest krillin rc-
proposed. It seems that the call is not initiated when the device is
suspended. As soon as the device wakes up, the call starts.

The only kernel I can get to work at all in terms of allowing lightdm to
run and me to log in is 3.19.x
All Ubuntu kernels I have tried
- 4.2.0-23
- 4.3.0-6
- 4.4.0-0
cause boot to lock up. It's not just lightdm that fails. You can't even
Alt-Shift F1 to a console.

I switched to linux-image-generic-lts-wily (4.2.0-23-generic) kernel.
Everything seems to work for the moment, but now the driver complains
