Thank you for providing a patch, and making Ubuntu better.
Can you provide some information on the status of the patch with regards
to getting it merged upstream? Has it been sent upstream, what sort of
feedback has it received, is it getting applied to a subsystem
maintainer's tree, etc?

I've exhaustively exercised this and cannot reproduce the issue with the
-proposed 3.19.0-66-generic #74 kernel. Marking it as verification-done

Small step forwards...
Works:
- Car bluetooth is detected
- The car bluetooth is shown (not just unknown...)
- If I press 'connect', I'm asked for the pincode
- If I enter the correct pincode, ubuntu says it

Also, it might be good to test the latest mainline kernel to see if this
bug is already fixed. If it is fixed, we can instead perform a
"Reverse" bisect to identify the commit that fixes the bug.
The current mainline kernel can be downloaded from:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.
I'd like to perform a kernel bisect to figure out which commit caused
this regression. We need to identify the earliest kernel that did not
exhibit the bug and the first kernel that did exhibit the bug.
Can you test the following kernels and post back?

I discovered this apparent regression while testing the silo 60+37 combo
@koza is using to land bluez 5.41, but note that the bug appears (and
then disappears) on vanilla 387 vs 381.
