On all my systems the update from zfs-initrams_0.8.1-1ubuntu12_amd64.deb failed
the same is true for zfs-zed and zfsutils-linux.
The system still runs on 0.8.1-1ubuntu11_amd64.

I installed that package and rebooted - still got blinking cursor in
video terminal and it looks at least to me as the same errors in the
first terminal. The difference in the behavior after installing this
package is that now the errors seem to display in a loop in an interval
