Dell Precision 5820 tower that has booted without issue for 2 years.
After updating the BIOS via the Ubuntu Software Center (to 1.13.0), my

When booting using 5.4.0-42-generic kernel, screen resolution is fixed
at 640x480 and there is no way to change it. Booting using
5.3.0-62-generic works fine.

I can also confirm that the bug is not fixed, and I can also confirm two
Bamoqi's posts - I'm testing it on various mobile phones and it's
messing up my development workflow as phones sometimes do not connect
when attached to USB cable.

There seems to be one package which depends on irda-utils (ircp-tray in
universe/misc). It was removed from testing in Debian due to the removal
of irda-utils there. Seems to make no sense to keep any tray icon around
which shows irda activity without userspace tools and kernel support
around.
