I tested with Linux 5.8.16 (https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v5.8.16/) and the lockups persisted. I installed a Ryzen 7
2700X and I have not had a single lockup in 17 days of uptime.

bah, accepted libinput for bionic just before realizing that the bug in
the changelog was for the private project and not this.. so it's
tracking will be broken

Been affected by this bug on Thinkpad T560 w/ i915 since mid September
(2020). I have been using -proposed over the last few days. So far, it
seems to have fixed the issue for me, the "interference lines" have not
reoccurred since.

Pericom EHCI/OHCI controller cannot detect USB hotplug after using MSI.
[Fix]
Disable MSI and fallback to INTx.
[Test]
Hotplug any USB device and nothing gets detected.
With the fix applied the issue is gone.
