Thanks. It was unclear from the first bug which monitor was flickering.
In the first bug it sounded like the laptop. In this second bug it
sounded like the external monitor. Now the video shows it's the laptop
screen.
Is it only the laptop screen flickering?

I am running Ubuntu 23.10, and using an ASUS WRX90E-SAGE motherboard.
My CPU (AMD 7965WX) is not properly thermally throttling, and is
exceeding the max operating temperature of 95C without throttling (it
has gotten as high as 98 before I shut it off).

I had the same problem when using another HDMI cable
I couldn't change the external monitor to a lower resolution because it
kept flickering and going to the menu for the external monitor, it would
just reset and send me to the settings for the built-in monitor

I have just seen this on 6.8.0-22-generic on a libvirt host running
serveral k8s instances in KVM. Their drivers are backed by ZFS.
I just switched them to cache=writeback for disks, that might trigger
this issue. It happened when they were idle but at a time (8AM) when I
suspect some crons ran.
