I was having the same issue after I had to hard reset on system lockup
on 3.15.1 mainline.
cat /var/log/pm-suspend.log revealed the following.
Running hook /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/60_wpa_supplicant suspend suspend:
Failed to connect to non-global ctrl_ifname: (null) error: No such file or
dire
looks like the issue I was having has nothing to do with the update.

/usr/lib/pm-ut
@siu managed=true does not fix the problem.
I am running mainline 3.15.1 and suspend/resume was working very well
until I updated the linux-firmware package to the latest version on
06/27/2014.
