Public bug reported:
AVC Encode is broken with intel-media-driver-non-free (possibly also
free version, haven't tested).
Applying https://github.com/intel/media-driver/pull/1500 to upstream
master fixed this for me. Can this be backported?

Sigh. It somehow incorrectly selected initramfs-tools. That's totally
unrelated. No idea on how to remove it.

Hi Marcelo,
Thank you for following up on this.
Unfortunately, even with the 5.11 kernel the problem still exists.

Really? I open a bug report over two years ago, which only recently gets
tractions and now it's being closed because the kernel used is no longer
supported?! I get that Ubuntu is opensource software, but still is still
disappointing.
Anyhow, I've created a new bug report:
Public bug reported:
SR-IOV does not work since Ubuntu Server 18.04.2 LTS, once the HWE
kernel (4.18.0-15 generic x86_64)) has been installed on that version.

@fermulator at the moment this is bug breaks dualboot anyway, since it
will not probe my Windows os before failing and stopping. So I have to
resort to using f12 to select the disk. I suppose it will be worse for
people with dual boot on one drive, but they will not be able to install
ZoL as
Unfortunately I encountered the same problem. Tried to run it for two
hours but after that it remained stuck, so I ctrl+C-ed and then the same
error messages showed.

Seems to be fixed in the 16.04 (Xenial Xerus) Beta 1. I assume the fix
will make its way through the final release.
Hooray! :)
