Hi, I do think I'm affected by the same issue. Is it still helpful to
test the 5.19.0-40.41 kernel as proposed by the kernel bot in the
previous message? I don't want to mess up my server, but if it helps
getting this fixed faster for 22.04, I'm willing to install the kernel
from -proposed.

Hi,
just did the standard upgrade.
Saw kernel files 4.4.0-43 being downloaded (+ some other files)
Restarted on latest kernel

All works fine
So I suppose we can close the case

Hi, my 16.04 is suffering from this bug even though a fix has been
released (apparently) 3 years ago.
Here's a (slightly sanitized) snippet of the syslog:

Pedro, thank you for the hint, I'll try if that works as a workaround for me
:-). I though the module build would disable secure boot since a dialog for a

But it remains the question to me what changed from kernel-4.4.0-18 to 4.4.0-21

The same issue exists when using the broadcom-sta-dkms package instead of
bcmwl-kernel-source on kernel 4.4.0-21 (also as with bcmwl-kernel-source this

I tried the new 16.04 release ISO and the problem exists for me (DELL
XPS 13) also which makes it unusable for me for now. Choosing an older
daily build before 20.4 where the 4.4.0-18 kernel is still used works
fine.
