Thanks. I've never done this before. I am finding two instances of the
same error while trying to apply the upstream kernel:

Anything to be concerned with? I can attach the log files.

Yeah, that seems to be a problem. Can't boot. I am attaching the log
files before giving up on the upstream kernel.

Also, I am running 3.13.0-29-generic. Should I be trying the 3.16
kernel?
