Found the solution here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/20398.../256037#256037 It consist in principle in adding the three letters pae to your cpuinfo to trick the installer to complete its work. The pentium M seems to not flagging this, but does support PAE kernels. ( I hope). Anyway, after add

Tried the above sequence of commands. Twice. Did not help. I even deleted all downloaded files by hand. No success. I still get the following error message: Unpacking linux-image-3.11.0-13-generic (from .../linux-image-3.11.0-13-generic_3.11.0-13.20_i386.deb) ... This kernel does not supp
