The issue in ubuntu-drivers-common has been reported again (bug

Pa
Marc, the version currently in eoan-proposed has the fix. I'm working on
addressing autopkgtest issues in related packages that prevent
thunderbird from migrating to the release pocket.
Once sorted out in eoan, I'll proceed to preparing updates for all

Seiichi,
I'm reverting the status of these bug tasks:
- this is not a bug in the linux kernel itself
- as for firefox, as Paul explained the default installation of Ubuntu cannot,
for various reasons (including legal ones), pre-install all codecs.
Can you please confirm that after installing ub

@Seth: I can reliably reproduce the crash in an up-to-date i386 cosmic
VM. You need to install libreoffice-base (which is not installed by
default, and pulls in all the java dependencies), then run it with
"libreoffice --base", go through the initial wizard to create a new

Public bug reported:
I have a virtualbox VM running artful which I upgrade every day. Today
when upgrading from kernel 4.12.0-12.13 to 4.13.0-11.12, after a reboot
gdm3 failed to display the login screen. All I got was a black screen,
but I could access a virtual terminal.

It looks like I’m being bit by this problem again. Building webbrowser-

segfault. Attaching a log file.
Note that the same tests all pass when building on zesty arm64.
