I have attached the output of "dpkg -l | grep linux | grep extra". The output of that command was the same across both kernels 4.13.0-43-generic and 4.13.0-39-generic. An important thing I would like to add is: the problem I had mentioned regarding black screen, low-graphics, dialog boxes, and no

I am facing this same problem with 4.13.0-41-generic as well as 4.13.0-43-generic. When I boot in either of those kernels, I first get a black screen with a dialog box saying: "The system is running in low- graphics mode - your screen, graphics card, and input device settings could not be detected
