Looks like it the crash has been prevented, at least in 450.66 from Ubuntu
repository, 20.04.1.
But the cursor size setting looks limited now :

Not sure if it is the same bug, but I have some errors related to ACPI at
startup.
I experience freezes lasting around 5 seconds.
I experienced several compete freezes of the host needing a restart.
Linux version 5.0.0-23-generic (buildd@lcy01-amd64-017).

Got kernel panic at boot and could not reach grub using shift. Found Bug
#1547559, saw this comment by Jason Straight.
"Stumbled across this today while searching for a fix for a PC running
16.04 that this is happening on. I don't understand why, but editing
/etc/default/grub
Upgrade from 14.04 LTS to 14.10. 14.04 LTS no problem. Also I have to
re-configure dual displays after resume.

Dual displays...shut laptop lid then suspend/resume fails. When choosing
