Thanks for your follow-up, Christopher. I've sent off a mail to the list that I hope conforms with the requirements, per your link. Here's a link to an archived version (spinics seems slow): http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel.input/38326 -- You received this bug notification because

Hi Christopher, and thanks for the instructions for updating the BIOS - although not fruitful, the thought was appreciated. With a Windows To Go installation I was able to update to v1.09 without any dual-booting or similarly. Not surprisingly, dmidecode returns the expected data: Version 1.09

Thanks to the magic of the touchpad in proto=exps mode, I accidentally posted the comment prematurely. Per your request, I've marked it as confirmed and I'm looking forward to anything else I can help with to provide further detail. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete =

Christopher, thanks for your follow-up. I've installed the linux-image for v3.17-rc6-utopic (Linux thor-lincoln- library 3.17.0-031700rc6-generic #201409211935 SMP Sun Sep 21 23:37:11 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux), and removed my workaround before rebooting the system. However, the

I hope in my changing of this bug's status I am not breaking any correct path of resolvement, as I can confirm the same bug happens on the same model in my case. I've looked at bug #1166442, and tried step #137 to see if that dkms patch would resolve anything. However, the only remedy so far has

Regarding comment #137 and its effect, I feel it is worthwhile mentioning that the ldtarball does not work for the ElanTech touchpad within the Fujitsu Celsius H730. There, the touchpad does not _work at all_, unlike here where multitouch features are a miss. There's bug #1300427 for that issue

In addition, I would point out something weird that I noticed: if I hold the middle-click down, the cursor functions fine. I can left-click while doing the middle-click, and it'll be as if I'm not using the middle- click button at all. However, the moment I let go of the middle-click, the cursor

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a kernel version where you were not having this particular problem? This will help determine if the problem you are seeing is the result of a regression, and when this regression was introduced. If this is a regression, we can
