I was able to fix this issue in my laptop (HP Pavilion N204TX) using the
patch provided (linux-
image-4.15.0-041500rc6-generic_4.15.0-041500rc6.201712312330+20170103+1_amd64.deb).
The issue appeared in my laptop once I upgraded to Ubuntu 18.04.

Yes, Ubuntu 16.04.03 has 4.4.0-87-generic kernel and we see the issue on
"4.4.0-87-generic" kernel which has "bnxt_en 0.1.24" driver.
