I don't see why it wouldn't. The issue isn't with Ubuntu, it is with
bumblebee. I will change this bug to bumblebee now.

The Mini DisplayPort functions in Precise, although the cursor leaves
ugly trails on the external screen.
Soon I will try Precise with Bumblebee installed, to see if Bumblebee is
causing the issue.

I am currently posting from the LiveUSB. The Mini DisplayPort is
functioning, although with some strange artifacts, and occassionally a
very noticeable amount of lag. The port is not recognised as an audio
device, so all audio must come from the computer itself.

provided is the 3.13 kernel for Trusty.
