console" using the ubuntu supplied kernel and not using one self
compiled from plain vanilla sources. I've tested since: 3.12.8,
3.13.0-rc8 and 3.13. All show the same result: working console at

I downloaded the latest for saucy through Ubuntu-Mainline-Kernel-Updater
script KernelUpdateChecke
There is no change, even the latest 3.2.0-58 Kernel does not support the
RT3290, it states no Kernel driver loaded. The problem is solved for me,
I stay with the 3.2.0-54 Kernel, there are no problems with the Chip
from Ralink!

I can no longer replicate this using the 3.2.0-54 kernel. I'm going to
assume one of the intermediate versions fixed the issue.

Sorry I wasn't clear.
The test I made from the saucy DVD was with upgraded BIOS (1.22). It's
doesn't work right of the box, I am guessing that the kernel parameters
above would make it work. That's how I made it work on my current
raring.

The concerned Hardware is gone, so testing is not possible for me
anymore. I guess the bug has to be closed ... I don't remember it
occuring on other machines, also with integrated Radeon, but different

This is still an issue in 13.04. It is confimred to be an issue. Please
reopen, as any important information is present in this thread.
As an additional information: acpi_sleep=old_ordering was a partial
solution, it worked for ubuntu not being installed an a SATA-Drive.
