But since there was no feedback, thank you for your remarks.

Title:
ERROR @wl_cfg80211_get_station :
Complete upgrade to 14.04 trusty LTS.
No longer spam in logfiles and wl still works after kernel updates.
Possibly a backport of bcmwl-kernel-source could help 12.04.
~$ apt-cache policy bcmwl-kernel-source

I am using 12.04.4 and after upgrade to lts-trusty kernel, I have the

Hey Guys
So i had the same Bug on my MacBookPro 5,5 running linux Mint 15 based on
Ubuntu 13.04. I use BCM4322 [14e4:432b]
I think I managed to solve it by installing bcmwl-kernel-source
6.30.223.30+bdcom-0ubuntu3 in amd64 (Release) from this page :
forgot to add that my wifi card is a BCM4313 (same as the bug reporter),
and this is a bug introduced with the upgrade of broadcom drivers, so
this is indeed a duplicate of bug 1097519, although that bug should have
a better title explaining that the bug is because of the privative
driver and not
I have this bug in Kubuntu 13.04, I couldn't connect to the wireless
networks at my university (with my home wireless it worked fine) with my
syslog full of those error msgs and several stack traces.
This was with the broadcom privative wl driver, I switched to brcmsmac
and now is working fine.
This doesn't seem to be wifi related for me, since I seem to be getting:
ERROR @wl_cfg80211_get_station : Could not get rate (-1)
in my syslog twice every minute ON MY VPS!
It's a brand new VPS, which I've only installed zpanel on (which
installs the lamps stack).
I detect great
Please scrub my last comment - I got my terminals mixed up (they all
look alike!). The error I was seeing was on my local machine and not my
VPS.
My local machine does have wifi and is working. However, I'm still
getting the errors and this again is an LTS version.

While it doesn't bother me much that code isn't what we'd all like it to
be when we get it, what troubles me if darned near EVERY 12.0.4 document
that is written or referenced as a help file starts with OPEN NETWORK
MANAGER.
There were a number of things that 12.0.4 could do in a LTS model so I
A modified version of the wl driver (just commented the errors out, so
they wont pop up) can be found here:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/8gq5vz3bghi1hhu/wl.tar.gz
The compiled-binary version can be found here:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/50hzvm0pbbcxzlq/wl.ko
It's not a permament fix
According to
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/bcm43xx#A11.10_.28Oneiric_Ocelot.29_-_12.10_.28Quantal_Quetzal.29-1
, Since 11.10 the package linux-firmware-nonfree also contains b43
firmware
Then,
I completely uninstalled bcmwl-kernel-source, b43-fwcutter and
and to complete the work,
according to
http://linuxg.net/how-to-fix-broadcom-bcm4311-wireless-driver-on-ubuntu-and-linux-mint/
,
Load the b43 module:
$ sudo modprobe b43
To make it work automatically:
$ sudo su
# echo b43 /etc/modules
