Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the

Looks like libtiff4 is obsolete replaced by libtiff5 (already
installed in Saucy). I have to enable all sources (including: proposed,
backports, restricted, multiverse) since I didn't know what sources that
provide libtiff4 succesfully installed.
Then printer driver succesfully installed (error
After testing several times by restarting machine, I found that facts: (a bit
different than comment #50)
- Printer fax status are always idle even cable unplugged (same as comment
#50)
- If cable unplugged, job still sending waiting in printer queue
- Print is always can do while cable
Another side note: in my Precise installation, only libtiff4 installed
(libtiff5 not installed)

Sorry for my stupid comment previously. Since I did testing with 13.10
daily (boot from USB flashdisk) which reported in comment #50, so it
should be no relation with Wubi.
Anyway...isn't your request is the same with what I've done reported
on comment #50 ?

Ok I have understood what you meant, I'm in process to test. But I think
there is some error while installing the driver:
$ bash install.sh
Execution command = sudo dpkg -iG ./packages/cnijfilter-common_3.10-1_i386.deb
Selecting previously unselected package cnijfilter-common.
(Reading database
Another error while trying to install printer:
Missing Driver
Printer 'Canon-MX320-series' requires the '/usr/lib/cups/filter/pstocanonij'
program but it is not currently installed. Please install it before using this
printer.
I didn't get such error while installing this driver in Lucid or
chris, if you install libtiff4 via a terminal:
sudo apt-get -y install libtiff4
would you be able to install the driver as noted in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1159358/comments/64
?

Did short testing with that official driver, I still experience inconsistent
behavior as before:
- Sometimes 2nd,3rd, so on.. plugging didn't work
- Trying to install driver only in interface 1 (ignoring interface 2) seems to
have no effect. But if plugging doesn't make printer ready, pop up
Yes, absolutely right. I'm using the last link (6th) for Lucid.
Ok I'll test that in Precise asap.

chris, just to clarify, you downloaded and compiled the printer driver source
from:
http://support-th.canon-asia.com/P/search?model=PIXMA+MX328menu=downloadfilter=0tagname=g_osg_os=Linux
As well, does the upstream driver work in your Precise install?
