I should add that this is the 11.6 Acer 1410, a circa-2009 laptop. Acer has an older model also called 1410. I loaded up gparted just now and it shows my swap partition (/dev/sda3) as having an unknown filesystem, size 1.93 GiB. My other partitions: /dev/sda1 ntfs 100 MiB system reserved
