Update: I just tested 3.12 RC7 kernel. Sound output is fixed (doesn't
need xrandr to be enabled but only "radeon.audio=1") but video playback
is still "fast forward" like.

I am experiencing the same symptoms after upgrading from 13.04 to 13.10.
When I select HDMI as my output sound source video and audo appear to
play in fast forward. When using analog sound everything appears to
work correctly. This was working correctly in 13.04.

I can confirm that. Choosing other audio output than HDMI immediately
makes video playback normal. It is strange that removing the
"radeon.audio=1" parameter and updating GRUB, still after reboot
Pulseaudio shows HDMI audio output even though it is disabled by default
as far as I know.

I found something very interesting. When I disable as default the radeon
HDMI audio output from pulseaudio, video playback is normal again.
So maybe is related with the strange behaviour I have with kernel 3.11
and 3.12-RC4. HDMI is enabled whether or not I enable "radeon.audio=1"
on GRUB but in b
