This bug is spoiling the use of my HP dv6 with Ubuntu for about three years. The HP has a tendency to get noisy and hot so being unable to suspend only makes it worse. I didn't have the problem when I had Windows. The hours I have wasted trying all the suggestions online. Suspend seems to happen ok
