Hi have a Acer Aspire One Aod260 Intel Atom N455, with the same problem. I
close the netbook and he goes perfectly to Standbye, but whem I try to resume
he freezes in black screen.
Im shutdown, restart/power on, the netbook works well!

I'm still running 3.14.0-rc7 and, after installed a batch of updates
which included the latest distro kernels, systems has stopped being able
to be suspended.
$ dpkg -l linux-image-3*
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold

Just updated to last mainline kernel, first suspend try has been
successful, will try later.
$ uname -a
Linux lillinux 3.14.0-031400rc7-generic #201403162235 SMP Mon Mar 17 02:57:06
