Additional information, in regards to comment #10: I've updated to a
mainline kernel, 3.17-rc5-utopic, and the symptoms are all the same
except for one thing: now, whilst holding down the middle-click button,
I can also press the right-click button and have it register.

In addition, I would point out something weird that I noticed: if I hold
the middle-click down, the cursor functions fine. I can left-click while
doing the middle-click, and it'll be as if I'm not using the middle-
click button at all.
However, the moment I let go of the middle-click, the cursor s

path of resolvement, as I can confirm the same bug happens on the same
model in my case.

would resolve anything.
