This change came over in a debian sync. Specifically it appears to come

Ubuntu 14.10(I'm using the daily build of Aug 27 ) blacklists hyperv_fb:
/etc/modprobe.d/fbdev-blacklist.conf: blacklist hyperv_fb

During the testing we've discovere

The build from 19th Aug is the first one we've picked up for testing, so I
cannot confirm if the initial builds have this or not, though this issue was
not seen before on Ubuntu.
