Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.2 kernel[0].

I have tested with the 4.2-rc6 kernel, still no response from the
touchpad and no touchpad-esqu device listed in 'cat
/proc/bus/input/devices'.
