I tried the above suggestion. Now I do not see the bluetooth icon any more. When I open the bluetooth manager, it shows "No Bluetooth adapters found". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to bluez in Ubuntu.

Thanks Jeremy. Disappointed to learn that to get the bluetooth working, I will have to wait for the next stable version. Are there absolutely no options to get this working? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to bluez in Ubuntu.

You can download from Larry Fingers github site, you will need the rtlwifi-new and rtl8723au_bt, troy branch to have bluetooth -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to bluez in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1545927

Wait for 16.04 and it will likely work. The firmware from the launchpad answer site didn't cause the errors in dmesg as the firmware didn't get loaded because your bluetooth is Realtek and the firmware would only get loaded for the correct Broadcom bluetooth device I actually think this is fixed
