Why the patch was dropped in the version 4.8.0.41.52 of linux-image-gerneric?
Does 4.8.0.41.52 corresponds to tag Ubuntu-4.8.0-41.44 ? If so, why the numbers
don't match ?

to getting it merged upstream? Has it been sent upstream, what sort of
feedback has it received, is it getting applied to a subsystem
maintainer's tree, etc?
