Bug description:
  Installed Ubuntu 17.04 beta, was logged in to Mate, had Chromium, 
Thunderbird, and a terminal with Vim running.
  I was switching back and forth between Vim and the browser when the whole 
system just froze.
  The desktop didn't react to mouse/keyboard, not even to 
Ctrl+Alt+F1..Ctrl+Alt+F7.
  It did react to SysRQ though: alt+printscreen+s, alt+printscreen+u, 
alt+printscreen+b, alt+printscreen+b.

  Upon reboot I've seen this kernel error in /var/log/kern.log (see attachment 
for full details):
