The issue was there in 19.04. However, I was able to flip the laptop upside down and then click the rotation button. This fixed the issue and displayed the screen in proper orientation. However, just upgraded to 19.10 and the issue is back. However, the screen does not rotate when the laptop is fl

The HP Elitebook 840 G1 is a regular laptop, so the accelerometer is not frequently used. Even when it's functioning properly like in 18.04, it can accidentally rotate 90 degrees when you tilt it slightly.
