I've noticed that the kernel you're running is quite old. Are you still able to reproduce this issue with a current image from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-server/daily-preinstalled/current/? Also, how did you install xfce? Can you please detail the steps so we can try to reproduce the issue?
