network now resumes properly after sleep on the focal lubuntu system reported
in the OP, with updates applied (eg:
lubuntu-artwork:amd64 (20.04.2, 20.04.3),
systemd:amd64 (245.4-2ubuntu1, 245.4-4ubuntu3),
netplan.io:amd64 (0.98-0ubuntu4, 0.99-0ubuntu2),
libnetplan0:amd64 (0.99-0ubuntu2, automatic)
However it remains that the focal kubuntu system does not restore after
systemctl hibernate.
