So what i have done since is:
Downloaded and copied the firmware as advised by You-Sheng Yang (vicamo).
Rebooted and then tried again, time was slightly less in waiting.
I then removed blueman again just in case that was giving issues and
reattached the mouse via bluetooth (reboot again) with the
In Xorg sessions, the mouse cursor is managed by the Xorg process. So it
won't be affected by graphics problems in the gnome-shell process at
least.
