I have taken a long time to reply , but I was thinking .
Sorry to say this , I won't be able to do this on my laptop .
The laptop is my personal laptop , & the work required to be done is too
complex .
For now, the touchpad works and hence I am OK with that status .
@Abhishek,
1. remember to run `sudo update-grub` after modifying grub parameters in
/etc/default/grub
2. You may install my test kernel with:
$ sudo apt install \
linux-modules-extra-5.4.0-41-generic=5.4.0-41.45+lp1886257 \

first : I removed those grub parameters .
second : sudo apt update
third : sudo apt upgrade
fourth : took dmesg
is there any more steps or any other steps required to be carried out ?

that you don't have to carry additional boot parameters anymore. PPA for

/etc/default/grub :
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i8042.notimeout i8042.nomux"
Then updated, via :
sudo update-grub
Hence it works .
