Update from upstream:
The patch (v2) was dropped because a customer reported it did not fix
their issue. I just reached out to the developer for an ETA to fix it
and will keep you posted.
Additionally there is ongoing discussion around the V2 of that patch here:
Using the patch that Jay mentioned above, as well as following his
direction in getting the kernel compiled, after 5 reboots this appears
to resolve the issue.
from watching this reboot many times both with the stock kernel and the
