I encountered the same issue with an Anker USB-C hub+ethernet using the
same chipset:

Just a quick note to inform that the issue is also present with the
ubuntu 6.1.0-1008-oem kernel which should be extra close to the tip of
mainline. Thus, the issue is most likely still present in mainline.
