Hi,
I installed Ubuntu 23.04 and this problem suddenly started arising on
kernel 6.2.0-34. Then I installed Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS with kernel
6.2.0-32 which also has this issue. Tried booting through
advanced>6.2.0-26 which worked fine. The reason is the same fingerprint
reader.

Hello,
I have encountered a similar issue with a Lenovo Thinkpad P15s after upgrading
to Kernel is 6.2.0-26.
I encounter a black screen after logging in.
What is strange is that entering and leaving the recovery mode allows to
correctly boot after login.

Ubuntu, so these
I've never logged a bug here before - save for the initial activity
where it was marked as confirmed and a few comments, nothing appears to
be happening. Can anyone who knows more about this than I do advise if
this is likely to end up being worked on?

On Medion Laptop S15549 (similar Hardware) the same problem occurs.
After upgrading under Linux Mint 21.2 from kernel 6.2.0-31 to kernel
6.2.0-32 (and now -33) the boot stops right after the Medion picture
shows on the screen during boot in very early stage. Details are
described here, including
I am also seeing this on likely identical hardware
(https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/for-
home/vivobook/vivobook-s-14-oled-k3402-12th-gen-intel/). I was able to
capture the attached Oops from my failed boot with 6.2.0-32. Booting
with 6.2.0-26 is clean.
