Public bug reported: It is hard to provide evidence but the story is:
* I start 'tmux' or 'screen'. * Everything works nicely until later, after I switch tabs/windows within them. * Then all my inputs behave as if I kept pressing the 'Ctrl' key, so when I type "v" what is actually receive is Ctrl-v. * If I reboot into kernel 5.15.0-102 with the same "root", that is the same 'tmux' and 'screen' binaries, this does not happen. * Apparently it does not happen inside an X terminal like 'xterm' or 'sakura', so I guess it is some weird bug in the console tty "discipline" (to use an old UNIX term). ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: kernel modules packaging -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2061685 Title: ULTS weird behaviour 'screen' 'tmux' (likely kernel error) Status in linux package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: It is hard to provide evidence but the story is: * I start 'tmux' or 'screen'.
