[Kicad-developers] Grid & zoom drop-downs in GerbView and Eeschema

2018-07-11 Thread Jeff Young
GerbView was easy because it already has an auxiliary horizontal toolbar. However, Eeschema does not, meaning that if we added one we’d be giving up significant screen real-estate. Another option would be to put it in the main horizontal toolbar, but then we’d have to drop some stuff that is

For windows the installer should also be in good nick. No pun intended. There are some minor things that I would like to do, but they are by no means a blocker for a release. Nick Den ons. 11. jul. 2018 kl. 21.35 skrev Adam Wolf : > > MacOS installer is ready. > > Adam > On Wed, Jul 11, 2018 at

This probably should have been done as a cpp string wrapped with the translation macro _(). I'm not sure there is anything we can do to make this translatable. Anyone else have any ideas? On 7/8/2018 1:57 AM, Константин Барановский wrote: > BOM dialog of Eeschema has help button. > It is shows

[Kicad-developers] Launchpad tags

Hi, I think it would be helpful to have a couple more official tags on launchpad: * testing - anything related to issues with the test programs * legacy - anything related the old canvases (which might be only of limited importance to fix going forward towards a GAL-only future) Cheers, John

Makes sense to me as long as we don't get carried away with tag names and make searching more difficult instead of easier. On 7/11/2018 2:26 PM, John Beard wrote: > Hi, > > I think it would be helpful to have a couple more official tags on launchpad: > > * testing - anything related to issues

Are there any critical bugs remaining to be fixed for the stable 5 release? I didn't see any thing outstanding but I may have missed something while I was on vacation. I'm going to create a 5.0.0 milestone for the last few remaining bugs and shoot for a 7/20 tag date unless there are any more

Hi Steven- If you would like to create your own jumper pads that don't fail DRC, you have a couple of options. 1) Create a graphic polygon on the copper layer of the footprint (see attached image). To do this, you need to create the graphic polygon in the footprint editor and then edit it to

Mark, I agree with you in principal but this would require some major changes to KiCad internally to handle the configuration data the "windows" way. I really do not want to push the stable 5 release back any further than it already has been. I'm open to trying to accomplish this as part of the

So, I tried to use the PCB Jumpers from the standard library, specifically a NC jumper. Jumper:SolderJumper-2_P1.3mm_Bridged_RoundedPad1.0x1.5mm  These seem to be new with the V5 library, because i don't remember them with V4. And it causes DRC errors.  Firstly it generates "Track near Pad"
