MacOS is building. I am out of town and return tomorrow. If there are no
issues I should be able to get them uploaded tonight, if not, Sunday.

I fine with adding the release announcement to the changelog. I'm
guessing this will be final blog post url. The release announcement is
already updated and ready to go as soon as the macos and windows
packages are built, uploaded to the server, and the website download
links are updated. As

Hi,
the packages for openSUSE (Tumbleweed and Leap) are ready and waiting for
submission to the repos, but I would like to include the release announcement
URL in the changelog.
Extrapolating
Of course, thanks for the input.

Otavio is correct. Unless manufacturer's decide to start licensing

this is going to happen. Unfortunately, you are just now discovering an

Jeff,
The GTK builds in the wild are usually on the 3.0 branch since that is what
most distributions ship as their pre-built library (see here for a brief
rundown: https://repology.org/project/wxwidgets/versions). There is some
resistance in the distributions to package the 3.1.x version (see
MSW and GTK?
OSX is still on 3.0.4 (we have our own wxWidgets branch with a bunch of fixes
in it).
How hard was it to move to 3.1?

Orson,
An invalid configuration should be when there are two active global actions
that share the same hotkey, or if there are two actions in the same context
that share the same hotkey.
The issue that I was having when I made this patch was that in my cvpcb
actions rework, I not only was

Windows builds should be up in an hour or two.

Nightlies are built against 3.1 these days.
Hi,
Turns out there are licensing / patents issues which do not allow the
distribution of the manufacturers models integrated with KiCad. This thread
can help you

Hello,
I would like to throw in a idea to catch opinions.
What do you think of including SPICE models in KiCAD libraries?
That would be not straight forward since sometimes there's more than one
component variant and so on but in my opinion would make SPICE simulation much
more straightforward.
I’ve merged a possible fix for https://bugs.launchpad.net/kicad/+bug/1464773,
but it will only work on MSW until wxWidgets 3.1.1. Of course that means I
can’t test it.
Can someone give it a whirl and see if it works?
Thanks,
Jeff.

Hi Ian,
I have nothing against your patch, but is it a valid configuration where
one has multiple global actions bound to the same hot key?
Cheers,
Orson
