either have to delete all of ~/kicad_sources and start over, or give up
entirely.
please let me know if i should post this problem in the bugtracker or
something else to make it easier to deal with, or if i have done it right.

thanks

Hi folks,
I threw together a PPA today, with the source packages

but if possible, i think it would be ideal if this requirement were taken
out. I can't in good conscience keep telling people that they should
switch to kicad if i can't even figure out how to install it myself.
apologies if i'm missing something basic, or if my tone is frustrated.

so i'm trying to install kicad
by following instructions - keep in mind
that 12.04 is LONG TERM SUPPORT and is still run by many people around the
world, for good reasons.
Will this PPA also include KiCAD itself? :) :) :)

they were buried in too much other documentation and i couldn't see it.
I pity the fool who tries to install kicad on anything but linux until the
documentation is improved.

functionality, but not remove functions/formats that are already there.

and put this one in the pile.
I really would love it if kicad went to git, not just to make it easy for
me to contribute, but for lots and lots of people who would jump in and
help.
thank you for everything you've done and all that you will do
