The other one is LibrePCB, looks to mimic Eagle UI.

As both of them are GPLv3, the FYI may be more valuable than just a
notification. E.g. to support discussions about toolkits and maybe even
result in some more code sharing.

Yeah, just downloaded it and gave it a whirl.
This project really shows some promise! The "pool" idea actually shows
some promise for library management.
I like how they want everything as parts. I will keep an eye on this.
Might be something to learn and integrate into kicad!

I tested LibrePCB and it has a neat library manager as well and is
available as a neat Qt-appimage. The schematic editor is good apart from
lack of some features. Also schematic and pcb stays always in sync.
With a bit of searching one can find a few presentations about the
background and design [1
