Hi Adam,
Well done for enquiring about this! There is a website offering snapshot
builds of KiCad: http://tuturutu.tode.cz/ so perhaps that is all we need to
supply "daily" snapshots on Windows. I can't remember who's website it is,
but it's been up for a long time.
I intend to do a portable down

I do not know if anyone else is doing this. If they are, I have no real
interest in doing this. If I *do* do this, I will certainly use Brian's
script, and will push upstream any modifications I need to use to make this
automated. I don't want to create more confusion with the builds--just

Adam,
I thought someone was already providing Windows nightly builds. I'm not
sure about OSX. Persona

You you be running Brian's kicad-windbuilder on this server?
If so, please share any glory that co
My plan is to set this up in an automated fashion, so hopefully I'll have
the Windows packaging stuff both in and out of my consciousness relatively
quickly. I have some bookkeeping stuff I have to get done by the end of
this month, but I'll see what I can do over the next few weeks.

I think this would be a tremendous benefit to Windows users.
And it would alleviate a lot of quest

You get to pick the format if you go through the "Save As" menu, make the pick
before you
press OK.
But otherwise no, there's no going back, unless y
Dick/Wayne/Devs,
Would you be interested in me setting up a continuous integration tool like
Jenkins to generate nightly builds for Windows/OS X?

Is there a version in the PPA where pcbnew does not automatically save
as the new pcb format?
The other option would be windows binaries up to date with the PPA
version. I work with a guy who uses windows and he can't open my boards
now.
btw, kicad-pcb.org seems to be down again.

Thanks! I just removed libboost-dev from build dependencies, added Doxygen
(although I didn't modify anything else for doxygen, yet), and removed the
MINIZIP cmake directive.

I think I was pointed that way previously, the last time I tried to fix
this. I believe the cmake files are regenerated each time at the launchpad
build servers--without any caching. However, the proof's in the pudding!

I'm not certain that my PPA currently works--as far as I can tell, it has
the wrong date. I've tinkered around trying to solve this a few times in
the past, and finally tracked it down to a missing build-dependency of bzr.
They're installed on my local machine, of course, but not on the remote

Thanks for a prompt response. It's great that
Hi Solonen,
There previously was a bug in my packaging that caused the wrong date to be
pulled in to the build version information. I had fixed it a while ago,
but I will see if there is a regression.
