Jeff,
The GTK builds in the wild are usually on the 3.0 branch since that is what
most distributions ship as their pre-built library (see here for a brief
rundown: https://repology.org/project/wxwidgets/versions). There is some
resistance in the distributions to package the 3.1.x version (see here
MSW and GTK?
OSX is still on 3.0.4 (we have our own wxWidgets branch with a bunch of fixes
in it).
How hard was it to move to 3.1?
