The answer to the problem ( how to link footprints and component) is : Use the .equ files with cvpcb and use the automatic association feature of cvpcb. A .equ file is the file which handle the component (exactly the value of a component and its footprint. (see in Cvpcb doc, the very short chapte

I keep the supplied libraries intact too. As I edit or create components, I place them in my own set of libraries which I share between projects. When I'm happy with the quality of my libraries, I plan to share them with the Kicad community. The relationship between footprints and the schemati

[kicad-users] PCB NEW - dragging tracks - how do I rubberband tracks?

Hi There I've routed a PCB and want to move tracks around to allow me add extra tracks, but I want the tracks to remain connected to modules or components. I'm wanting to just move points in a routed set of tracks. So I'd like to rubberband them, how do I do this? Thanks Darryl
