One suggestion: there are a number of free viewrs for windows, either read limited or 30 day limited, you could download some of them and see if the problem happens there too Alain electric_phil escreveu: > I tried to remove the PCB-edge, but I don't see the bug : I can open > files in Gerbv wi

I tried to remove the PCB-edge, but I don't see the bug : I can open files in Gerbv with the same process (right-clik on the file, then choose "gerbv" prog to open ) like file with edges ... Launching Gerbv, then try trying to open a pho file don't work, edge present or not ... Don't know if it's

At leas one BUG in kicad was definetly located here in Barazil (100% reproductible), just check if it does not aply to you: If a board does not have a PCB-edge defined, something is missing in the gerber file. That was confirmed with my manufacturer too. Alain electric_phil escreveu: > Hi Dan

KiCad have a decent Gerber viewer itself, so I don't see the immediate reason to use Gerbv there. However, it's worrisome if there are deviations on the Gerber standard. I have had rather complex KiCad designs produced from my Gerber files without the usual whinging PCB producer so I assume KiC

No, GCAM still can't read KiCad Gerber files, even after the manual hack to please Gerbv. This means that I cannot use KiCad for my new CNC Milling machine yet. I'd really really hate to be forced back to Eagle! //Dan, M0DFI

This is a bit weird: Gerbv doesn't like the "G04" Gerber command ( comments etc ) so I manually edited the file and tried again. Then it complains on G01 so be gone with that too. Now Gerbv reads the file. I suspect the Gerber changes have been added to KiCad's Gerber engine sinced I tested las
