That is because you ae accustomed to the US symbols. KiCAD has European origins and uses the IEC symbols, there is nothing preventing you from drawing your own though. - Anders Gustafsson Engineer, CNE6, ASE Pedago, The Aaland Islands (N60 E20) www.pedago.fi phone +358 18 12060 mobi

[kicad-users] What will be the track size when voltage & current value changes.

2009-08-09 Thread rupak...@gmail.com
Dear SIR, Any one can let me know the pcb track size according to the voltage and current rating increases. For example if it is a 5v dc supply is passing through a track then what will be the track size and same also for current. Regards Rupak R Bangalore

You can do a tour in the libraries using the Library Browser tool in the eeschema, with this tool you can see symbols and names inside each library. But before you should open each library. Welcome to kicad... adsare...@gmail.com wrote: > > > Ah, I see them now. I was looking for the jig-zag r

Ah, I see them now. I was looking for the jig-zag resistor symbol but I guess a rectangle thing works. Though I am looking for a polarized capacitor, does such a thing exist? Thanks yajeed2000 wrote: > > > --- In kicad-users@yahoogroups.com > , "x24go

Hello all, I decided to try making something with kicad today. So I starting making up a circuit. I found a transformer and a bridge rectifier no problem. But then there was no capacitors? And no resistor? Am I missing something? How can anyone use this without capacitors and resistors?
